11th November in English !

Soldiers & Brothers

This week the CM1/4 class made special poppy cards in English to commemorate the 100 years Anniversary of the end of the First World War. The students learnt the origins of this famous flower and its significance in the English speaking countries.

After the First World War, the poppy was adopted as a symbol of Remembrance and Hope and is worn by millions to honour the soldiers who fought for our liberty.
